Engagement Team Member

Some Responsibilities include:

a) Delivering programs that are therapeutic for individuals with dementia and other cognitive impairments such as:

• Exercise groups (chair exercises, walking etc)

• Exercise games (badminton, ball toss etc)

• Reading groups

• Memory games

• Reminiscing activities

• Sensory activities

• Music and movement activities

• Arts and crafts

• Cleaning and organizing

b) Assisting those with cognitive impairments to participate in recreational activities offered throughout the facility to the best of their ability

c) Answering call bells to assist with requests from residents (i.e.: juice, tv channel changed, warm blanket) in our Dementia community

d) Providing 1:1 with residents requiring extra TLC

e) Fostering relationships between like-minded individuals and those who find joy in similar activities, tasks, and daily living activities
