Respite care provides temporary relief for primary caregivers by offering short-term stays for individuals who require care, support, and/or supervision. It’s a valuable option for those needing a break from caregiving responsibilities or for individuals who need care while their family members travel, work, or take time for themselves. Respite care can also serve as an opportunity to "try" long-term care or recover from illness or injury in a supportive, well-equipped environment.

The full cost for respite care at Evergreen is covered at the private pay rate, as there is no public funding available. Although the cost may seem high, this rate reflects the actual cost of care, which includes the services, staffing, and facilities required to provide a safe and comfortable environment. It may feel expensive when individuals are required to cover the full cost themselves, without the support of public funding. Our preference would be public funding too.

• Meals: Nutritious meals, snacks, and refreshments tailored to dietary needs.

• Housekeeping: Regular housekeeping services to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.

• Recreational and Engagement Opportunities: A variety of activities designed to promote mental stimulation, social interaction, and overall well-being.

• 24-Hour Staffed Environment: Our highly trained staff provides round-the-clock care, ensuring safety, support, and peace of mind at all times.

Costs

1 – 6 Day Stay: Includes a private bedroom with washroom, meals, snacks, and refreshments.

• $330.00/day

• Check-in after 11:00 am, Check-out before 4:00 pm

7 – 45 Day Stays: Includes a private bedroom with washroom, meals, snacks, and refreshments.

• $325.00/day

• Check-in after 11:00 am, Check-out before 4:00 pm

One-Bedroom Suite Stays: Includes a one-bedroom suite with a private bedroom, washroom, and additional amenities.

• $350.00/day

• Check-in after 11:00 am, Check-out before 4:00 pm*Couples with one dependent spouse
